Alistair Williamson

this is me

I’m a Scot, born in Malawi (East Africa) living and working in the US for the last 20+ years. My degree is in electronics and my inclination is towards design. I’ve worked in high-tech (GEC, Tektronix, WebCriteria) and also in fair-trade (Equal Exchange).

I’ve also been the Board Chair of a venture-back software company, of a worker co-op, and of a Buddhist non-profit. Through these experiences I became interested in the design of organizations and particularly the overly simplistic design of corporations. Living in Portland I’m also into bikes, biking, bike infrastructure and bike society. I’m even doing a little bike design; I’m on prototype #2 of a midtail bike. I’m looking forward to seeing where that goes.

If you know me personally you could checkout Facebook; if you’ve worked with me I’m on Linked In.

Mary Reinard / Sakula

and this is me

I go by Mary or Sakula. Sakula is my Buddhist name meaning “one of good family”; it was given me by Ajahn Pasanno, the abbot of Abhayagiri Buddhist Monastery. I’m an Abhayagiri Lay Minister and the Spiritual Director of a meditation center, Portland Friends of the Dhamma. I’ve been an artist all my life, and a Nana for the past six years.

I’m not on Facebook, nor Linked In, nor twitter. To get hold of me you’ll have to email or come by the meditation center. Or you could visit  This Upasika Life where I blog about living in Buddhist community and my art.
